I am a writer from Dhaka, Bangladesh, currently living in Indiana, United States.

I am the Associate Fiction Editor for West Branch literary magazine.

I have an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Notre Dame and I was named a 2024 Tennessee Williams Scholar by the Sewanee Writer’s Conference. My work has been supported by the Tin House Summer Workshop and The Loft Literary Center Novel Writing Program.

My short story “Deficiency Notice” was a finalist for the 2023 Commonwealth Short Story Prize, selected by a panel of international judges from over 6,600 submissions worldwide.

My novel in progress, titled The Native Nonpeople of Silt Island, is a dystopian noir centering refugees, enslavement, and environmental collapse.

I am represented by Kanishka Gupta of Writer’s Side Literary Agency throughout the Commonwealth region, including the Indian Subcontinent.
